Well, read about another new spam flavor.

Gochujang Spam

This one’s exclusive to Costco. I guess my Costco doesn’t have it yet, but I’ll probably grab some to try when they do. not really looking forward to buying an eight pack in case I hate it?
So kinda like the last one
heck yes
heck no
needs bacon
or am I just flat out of my mind

I have, but still haven't eaten any, the Koren BBQ flavor, but I'm skeptical of all the flavors some products produce. Like the tuna pouches...it just gets weird. I hadn't gotten tired of regular tuna salad, I didn't need all that!

I like the regular full salt version of Spam. My wife doesn't, but for some reason likes the bacon version of it and the canned ham I stocked up on (prepper cabinet), which to me, tastes not that far off of regular spam!

Funny how Asians took to spam. From what I've read and seen on TV it's because of the U.S. Army! Field rations. And now its a main protien, especially in Hawaii. I've ordered "Authentic" Chinese before that was a noddle bowl (Bridge Noodle Soup) that came with multiple plates of proteins and veggies to add, and Spam was among it!

Same here Chris bit I'd probably try them....if I could find them locally.

I'd be game to try it also. As long as it doesn't taste like mushrooms.

I'll stick with the low sodium original.
I think I remember Bearcarver mention that bacon flavored Spam has less salt than than the lower sodium version.

I make my own SPAM using this recipe...

I also have Gochujang. Any suggestions on how much to add to make my own?

Anything Spam and I’m all in!

If I find a case at Costco that’s 8 cans.
I don’t need all of that. I’ll ship out a few to people on the fourm if they want to give it a go.
I’ll post up if I find it.

I live a sheltered life. I wouldn't know what to expect taste-wise. Never even heard of gochujang.

Oh you guys that have never tried Gochujang are missing out. It is savory and spicy and yummy. If your pallet doesn't take well to spicy food you can try Ssamjang instead. It is a little sweeter and you can choose a mild version if you want. I keep both in the fridge.

It is great for dipping both meat and veggies.

A case of Spam, would last me eight lifetimes. I can't bring myself to eating that stuff .

I have a friend that is heavily into prepping show me his stash of assorted flavored Spam.
I said cool, but I rather die than eat the stuff . LOL

I’m in…..gonna have to keep my eyes open and score some when is see it! Oh yes gochujang is widely used at our house! We get a mild version from an Asian market in the big town south of us…..

As an aside, there is a scene in the new Deadpool/Wolverine movie where they end up in an alternate universe where everything that is useless or discarded goes. The only thing they could find to eat was a couple cans of Spam (regular).
Also, in the tv series Fallout, they eat cans of Cram (as it can last for centuries) and drink Nuka-Cola.
