Now I am confused, and that is not hard

. I have read some of the older posts on making ABTs(Atomic Buffalo Turds) where the smoking times have been anywhere from 30 Min's. to 2 hours. What is the overall agreement on smoking times since there is such a big gap in the times given?

They're done when the bacon is the way you like it. Usually crisped up is what you are looking for. Some suggested to "pre-cook" the bacon just a little bit to get a head start on the crispness.

the longer you cook then the more well done the bacon and pepper will get and the pepper will lose some of it's heat.

They are edible as soon as the bacon is cooked, probably 45 mins to an hour but I like mine at about 2 1/2. just personal preference.

It depends on how you like your bacon and how you like you peppers.

I like the peppers a bit crunchy not mushy and soft so I pre-nuke the bacon strips until it's just starting to brown on the edges then wrap. I also hate soft bacon - it has to be crispy all the way through, so for me the cooking time would be less than many others - or about 2 hours.

It's all up to you and what you like! Isn't smoking great?
