I didn't see a place to post a recipe for an adult beverage for sipping while smoking - if there's a better place and the mods want to move this great!

I just made one of these and I'm sipping it while waiting for my first fattie to come out of the smoker.

Blueberry Limoncellos
Ingredients

* 1 cup Organics Frozen Wild Blueberries or fresh blueberries
* 3 tbsp. simple syrup* or sugar
* 3 tbsp. lemon juice
* 1 cup chilled limoncello liqueur or lemonade (regular or sparkling)
* 3/4 to 1 cup chilled Club Soda or sparkling water
* 1 1/2 oz. vodka (or to taste, if desired)

*To make simple syrup combine equal parts water and sugar stirred over heat and brought to a boil, then cooled to room temperature.
Steps

1. In a blender, whirl blueberries, simple syrup, and lemon juice with just enough limoncello to make a smooth slush. (For a firmer slush, pour into a small bowl and freeze for up to 2 hours. To store up to 2 weeks, put slush in a resealable freezer bag, seal, and freeze. To use, let stand at room temperature a few minutes to soften slightly.)

2. Divide berry slush among 4 tall glasses (8 to 12oz. size), add equal portions limoncello, and vodka; fill with club soda. Garnish with fresh berries on skewers; swizzle as you sip.

That does sound pretty refreshing for on a hot day of smoking. Today is hot coffee day though.

sounds really good, gonna have to save this rec for next summer!!! i think fall is here(i hope)!! thanks!!!

We make a lot of limoncello - love that stuff so much.

Richtee - I swilled one while the fattie cooked. Made another one and nursed it until the Niner's won. By then it was time to switch to bourbon. Only so much sweetness can be tolerated in one day. But it is a perfect brunch drink!!!
