As anyone tried this yet? I have to admit, I'm strictly a beer guy and don't like the Micro brews. I just want a good no frills, pilsner, cold beer.

Anyway, my wife was at the liquor store and the guy was saying how this has been flying off the shelves. She got a 4 pack and brought it home. Once I saw it, I figured there was NO way it was good.

I have to admit, it's very good. It's like having a Bloody Mary but it's like beer at the same time. It's kind of a cool change of pace on a hot day in all honesty. Surpringly, I like it. Kind of like a Cave Creek is to beer but not spicey. So, I'll have one now and again but not back to back.

Haven't tried these yet. Just saw it for the first time last week. LOVE Clamato! LOVE it. Bloody beers - in general - been around a long time. I'll have to get some.

I didn't care for the one in the photos, but the bud-light version was off the hook, when they first came out I was buying between 6-8 of them a day for a couple months.

Last couple weeks I was mixing my own, with the spicy clamato. I love the premixed but they are a little bit spendy.

Edit**** I just noticed the can indicates its a 16 oz beer. the only ones that I find around here are the 24 oz. which is cool with me as they dont last long once opened LOL

I love red beer, but then I make my own red. Haven't tried the store bought version.

Haven't tried that one yet , but make my own by adding 1/4 cup or so of clamato or tomato juice to a cold beer , very good with breakfast on the weekends

That doesn't surprise. Maybe a better question is what don't you do,

Jeanie, you never cease to amaze me. What's the recipe,

Yeah my buddies and I used to mix Clamato and Beer every saturday and Sunday mornings. They really were hang over breakers! Gave a bit of the hair of the dog without the full beer taste!

Thank you Pete.
I would share the recipe with you, but I actually sell the stuff. There are a lot of homemade red beer fans around here.

I'm sure it has, I just didn't have a clue,

I guess I'd rather make it than buy it so anyone have the proportions/ratios?

I am with cowgirl on this and I am older that she is. Red beer is good for what ails you.

Just drink a little out of the can and fill with tomato/clamato, add a squeeze of lime and there you are.

Like everyone else says, just about 1/4 of the glass is V8 (or tomato...or whatever) and the rest is beer...I like to put garlic powder and black pepper...then a squirt of tabasco...

Very tasty...It goes great in the morning...or at lunch...or dinner...or...or...

Actually, I like to drink a red beer if I dont have my vodka for bloody mary's...Must have with a strong maduro cigar!!!

Its funny, I asked for one at a bar onetime and they had NO CLUE what I was asking for...They said they didnt make that....so I ordered a tomato juice and a beer...and preceded to make my own right in front of the bartender...(he wasnt all that pleased...I made a mess)

Thanks everyone, I need to start playing around with some recipes, the lacking ingredient, tobasco as someone said.

Red beer has been popular around here for years. I was amazed to find out that it isn't as known in other parts of the country. Must be a regional thing. Usually see any of the red veg. juices mixed with whatever beer suits the ind. Tomato, V8, clamato, and usually a big name beer, Bud, Coors, etc. Not often seen with micros. I don't drink it so can't provide ratios. Kinda to taste I think.
