This thread is not meant as a political post, but merely a chance to recognize and say "thank you" to the men who gave their lives to end WWII, 65 years ago.

The survivors who saw the horrific scenes of battle that day are a dying breed and if anyone has loved ones who were part of this battle, or may be fortunate enough to know a survivor, please take a moment and pay your respects to these heroes.

Here Here! Thanks for the post.

Any heathen that would be offended by this needs to get their head examined, and GTFO
  4. Good post.
The times have changed, back then you wouldn't hear anything about Political or concerns there of.

There aren't many left that survived the invasion, but our thanks to them, and the memory of them needs to be always honored.

My prayers and thanks to all that have served, are serving, and will serve...

I am proud to say that I was able to take part in the 59th anniversary of D-Day. The older folks of the Normandy region still remember what the allied forces did and made a point of saying thank you, even to a young trooper like me. It was an experience i will never forget. Thanks to all our vets!!

Thanks for keeping our minds on this. My hat is off to all of our veterans and those that have made, and continue to sacrifice for the rest of us.

God Bless the men and women in uniform. All to often this country has relegated all who served to the back shelf until needed again. My prayers to the greatest generation and those that have answered the call throughout history. "No greater sacrifice can be made then to lay done ones life for a neighbor."
