That's a pretty good video. I agree with a lot he had to say.
Hickory is definitely my favorite wood. Miss Linda on the other hand, says it's too strong. She prefers pecan--same flavor profile, but milder.
Oak, I find kinda bland. Apple, I just don't like.
Orange is my go to wood for anything pork. That said, the best pork loin I ever bbq'd was with 60/40 mix of pecan and mesquite.
Alder is great for fish, but I find that willow is just as good.

Good video. Not great.
His preference in wood doesn't match mine.
Pecan in pellets in the tube is my limit.
I love oak. Used it all the time in the stick burner offset (RIP) and fuel came off my trees.

I need to get working on my fridge build this winter. I miss the offset flavor of real wood. Pellet pooper even with a smoke tube just isn't here
