I've had this #32 meat grinder fer a bit, startin to get it mounted up so I can use it! I'm plannin on a washin machine motor fer power, low RPM's an should have enough umph to run it.

I'll post some more pics when I get the motor an build some more.

When it's all done, I'll give everthin several coats a white enamel paint fer easy cleanin.

This also has a handle if ya really wanna crank it by hand.

Yup, will be underneath to keep it clean an cool, also keeps my finners out a it! The entire bottom is on hold till I get a motor on friday.

Nice Grinder, I have one just like it I would like to motorize...

Where did you get the pulley for it?

Looks like a good start Tip I'll look forward to more pics of the progress

Pulley came with it when I bought it, was one a the sellin points fer sure! I would think ya could find a pulley for most any of em, check with the local motor shop.

When I bought the one I have, I got it off eBay for $9.00 + $27.00 Shipping brand new, I saw the ones with the pulley's but went with the one that I thought was a steal...

Now I find that the pulleys are not easy to find for them. I will check some places that sell stuff like that and see what I can find. What is the diameter of the pulley on yours?

That's a great start for a table-mount powered grinder.

I do have one concern about the motor you speak of...is it from a front load wash machine or a top load?

The reason I ask is because the bearings in motors that are designed for vertical shaft mounting may not stand up to horizontal shaft mounting for very long. The thrust washers can develope excessive wear rather quickly and then it throws the brush alignment off, which can damage the brushes and armature as well.

I didn't know if you were aware of this or not, so I thought I'd ask.

Man, I long for a decent grinder...you got my wheels turnin' again!
