here are the pics of the briskets i smoked today. first up is the 8lb whole; then the 7lb whole; the 8lb sliced; the 7lb sliced; and finally me pulling the point on the 8lb'er. i used jeff's naked rib rub on them, and made his sauce to put on them for sammies. in the am, my wife is making potato salad; i am making wicked beans, beer bread, and peach cobbler. ought to be a good lunch.

Looks realy great Chris! I think that's the prettiest one so far! Great smoke ring too! Why is Texas so far away? Darn it!

You look like me trying to get all the fat off in that picture! Heavy consentration, peeling every single piece off. Way to go!

thanks for the kind words everyone. debi- you could move closer, hehe. i hate fat, and will not eat it. i cannot eat either, as i choke on it; have been that way since i was a kid. the peach cobbler looks good (i just pulled it out of the oven), but it is brown on top, not white. i did put alot of cinnamon in it though. the beer bread looks good so for. the beans smell so good. i might have to see if i can get a pic of my plate before i eat it all.

I'm waiting! Can't wait to long got a game today!

That is the hard part.

STOP! GET THE CAMERA FIRST! Drives everybody crzy around here!

debi, same way here, too. btw, here are the pics of the peach cobbler (which was delicious, my first time to ever make a cobbler), the beans, and my plate. i figured out the beer bread is not for sammies. it is good a sliced bread on the side.

Wow Chris that looks great, that cobbler looks yummy too.

I just made a batch of Dutch's Wicked Baked Beans today and they were awesome.
