My father landed in the hospital after Thanksgiving many years ago. Turned out his gall bladder had stones and that got everything inflamed

Hey all, so bad news on my part unfortunately...I've been in the hospital since Sunday (12/1) and they don’t t have an estimate on when i'll get out

After thanksgiving at my gf's parents house and then holiday lunch at mom's Saturday, i felt like I had food poisoning but it got worse to the point where i was just throwing up bile and then air. Miranda took me to UF's ER Sunday they prescribe that it was "acute pancreatitis ". After many, MANY tests, poking proding they confirmed it was and . Ive been having bouts of bloating and random vomiting over the last year or so they are obviously worried about since I also have a "fatty liver). SOOOO RIGHT NOW they want to keep more for more tests and monitoring to at lest Wednesday and maybe Tuesday!!!!

With that being said, i'm not sure I'll able to make with every going on around this BUT I'M GONNA TRY MY DAMNDIST, even it means just coming Friday evening or Saturday not but i'd be packing lighter. THIS SUCKS but hope the best and they let me out earlier. Miranda, her mom and step dad are coming to visit the hospital tomorrow (tues) we'll discuss any plans for them to head down without me but i'm not sure where i'll be (hopefully still above the ground haha). Ok probably not that funny.

If anyone is coming from some where north or around me (Alachua/Gainesville area) and wants to grab my 12x10A A-frame (comes apart) and anything else that i usually bring earlier let me know!

For the gathering site... I have a 10x20 and a 10x10 E Z UP... The 10x10 is a little older and leaks water some (if it rains) ... I also have a 8' and a 6' table but we will need more...


I'm gonna try to get there around Noon tomorrow... So John ( Fueling Around ) we can get your SS stuffed and in the smokehouse for the night... Maybe get some other things mixed and stuffed as well..

We won’t arrive until Friday around 1. Bringing 48 slider buns, coleslaw makings, eggs for breakfast, sausage and bacon. 3 of us and anyone who wants to pitch in for breakfast

We hope to be there Friday around noon. Bringing breakfast makings for Saturday and Sunday if anyone wants to join. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes. Have a small waffle maker if anyone wants that. Need hashbrowns. I have a huge bag of coleslaw mix for both Friday and Saturday along with 48 slider buns.
Potluck will be brownies and possibly cookies as well.

Beans are coming Charlotte . But I'm in need of some smoker space to cook them so hopefully I can get away with just packing my mini.
****Is anybody bringing their trailer pit out and have room for a half pan Saturday afternoon for about 3 hours?
Will also have a pork entry for Saturday. Bringing a butt for Friday pulled pork, can be for lunch or dinner (less about a pound that I need for my beans).
No side decision yet for Fri.
Packing some smoked cheese to share as well.
We should be there Thursday late afternoon.

My wife and I will be arriving Friday lunch time. I will have a 4x8 plywood table and a folding table. Ill have a 10x10 pop tent for gathering site.
Don. I should be able to make some room on smoker for you. Not bringing big trailer but it's big enough for an extra pan I believe. Im picking up meat tomorrow and ill figure out sides then. Sounds like there will be plenty of food as usual. Ill pack cornhole boards as well. I have some firewood for evenings.

We should be there early afternoon Thursday. after setting up camp we will mosey into town for any stuff needed or forgot. I have an 8 lb. butt that goes on way early Friday morning (3 AM) for Friday supper if all goes well. we will have buns for pulled pork sandwiches and a few bottles of Carolina sauce and some Sweet baby unmolested in bottles for those that don't care for vinegar based sauce. Publix was out of coleslaw down here, we'll see if there's any up in Sebring. I'll be doing a slab of St Lous ribs for Saturday and will most likely have some pulled butt left that can be refrigerated and and warmed for pot luck.

Forgot to update.
My SD starter finally went active so I could make some bread to share.
I have a boule (that's a round loaf (ball) to those that don't speak French) of jalapeno cheddar.
I also have a loaf of SD sandwich bread from Rick's BGKYSmoker recent posting. It doesn't have a pronounced SD twang as the starter is still immature and hasn't developed the good lactic acid culture yet. Made 2 sandwich loafs, but wife claimed one for herself

Hey all! Sounds like people are arriving which is good. We just got updates from Miranda's mom. Let the fun begin!

I just got home from the hospital. Been there since Sunday morning. 4ish days laying in a bed does a number on your body.. things are looking good for me but likely won't be able to make it down.. if it was an hour or so down the road, you bet your ass I'd come in some capacity.

I know y'all got this and are going to rock the weekend. Save me some summer sausage
