Hey Y'all,
I'm not sure if there's going to be an official gathering thread, so I thought id add a short blurb and photo dump since there's 8 pages to scroll through on the original announcement. Feel free to ad your pics here too
first of all I'd like to graciously thank all organizers and participants for an awesome outing.
We arrived Thursday around 1:30PM, ser up camp and wrestled my 200+lb Pitboss vertical pellet pooper out of he the toy hauler. More on that later as I've already posted about Pitboss vertical pellet pooper, so I also brought my 18"WSM in case the PB decided to be unruly. (didn't need the WSM thankfully)
I had an 8lb Boston butt for Friday night so I got it trimmed and rubbed for a midnight overnight ride on the pooper, allowing 12hours for cook to temp and a 4 hour cooler ride to shred for dinner.
For Saturday buffet I did slab of St Louis ribs which was also an uneventful cook.
It was a very entertaining weekend with tons of bodaciously awesome eats, and plenty of smart water being passed around the campfire.
I'm not going to label each thumb pic but there was a very interesting game of Campfire Jenga on a folding portable table that might have involved copius amounts of smart water.
