Pros - Easy to read and use the actual unit
Cons - The Bluetooth range is only about 10 to 12 feet. And the app initially was quite good, easy to use, the second revision of the new GUI is better than the first but the original had everything I needed and I loved it. Wish I could revert back to it.
I have to keep my ipad outside next to the unit to keep it connected, making it near worthless, if I have to walk out to the unit to check the temperature what good is it having radio (bluetooth)? Triple that, about 30 feet like all of my bluetooth headsets should be at least a working distance.

Pros - Easy to use and setup on your phone, graphing and exporting data to excel, accuracy of probes.
Cons - Durability of the unit, but I had an older model and customer service took care of any issues I had with functionality. It is a bit expensive, but worth the investment.
I've now had the igrill2 for a couple years, starting when Idevices connected developed and owned the product. I've always greatly enjoyed the ease of use and ability to see the range of my cooks on a graph - and being able to export the data! However about a month ago I had a major issue with my igrill2 when 2 probe lights lit up but nothing else would turn on with the unit.

I sent (now Weber) an email explaining the situation and sending detailed information. Weber told me this occurrence was a known issue in my igrill2 unit and they would ship me a new one. At first I was very skeptical and sad I was out my igrill2, knowing full well I was past the original 90 day warranty - as well had a 2 year old unit. Even after giving them my estimated purchase date of the unit (I had no receipt) Weber did not hesitate to immediately send me a new igrill2 in the mail - and they also mentioned warranty with Weber extended out to now 2 years!!! I received my unit in a timely manor and am super excited I did not have to search for a new thermometer for my big cooks. It is a pricey purchase but well worth the investment - especially if customer service is willing to help you out with any functionality concerns!

Thank you very much Weber for honoring something you clearly did not have to. I am a huge believer in customer service and you guys definitely have me won as a loyal customer and recommender down the road!

I really like this iGrill set-up. Being able to have four probes going with one device is very convenient and I haven't any issues with this unit. The bluetooth range isn't great. They claim 150' I can get about half of that if I am inside by and a bit better if I'm outside. I'm sure there are better units even at the same money but I'm happy with it.

Agree with the above and had the exact same experience. Weber is like the Tumi of luggage and the craftsmen of tools. You get what you pay for and their customer service is second to none!

I have the previous version - and it never recorded temp properly. Cold meat showed 118 !! I tried dealing with Weber, who insisted I reset it - and it still didnt work. I cut into a couple of pieces of meat in the early days using it to find it very rare - i still depend on the thermometer in my MES.

I had a tree fall on my house last year, I sent them some pictures of the damage to my Performer on Twitter. I was also well outside the warranty period and since this was an act of god they weren't obligated to cover it anyway, I knew that going in to it......However, the wonderful people at Weber sent me all the parts needed to fix my grill....for FREE!!!!! I was so over the moon....I will never buy another product again, I don't care if they make toothpicks, I'll buy them....a wonderful experience, I'm glad you had a similar one...
