Pros - Put the meat on and let it cook. Never burns anything.
Temp probe takes out the guess work.
Cons - Temperature can fluctuate more than I would like. Once in awhile the cooking surface is a bit small.
What I like best is that it takes all the guesswork out of when the meat is done. I have yet to overcook things since the temperture probe tells me when its done. You put the meat on and thats it. You don't need to constantly turn the meat to cook it evenly. The cooking is so much more even than a gas grill. It has a smoker function which I have only tried today. I smoked some almonds and they came out great.

Pros - can start my Traeger up and let it do it's work.
Cons - I have found no cons.
I have use my Traeger a lot, I vacuum out the ashes after every third use. Do not keep covered to avoid moisture build-up and cause rust. Pellet auto-feed holds temp setting and has worked perfectly for four years. Has been a great addition to my out-door kitchen.

    Pros - Good job smoking.
Cons - Very poor paint job inside and out. Rusts quickly.
Our three year old Traeger developed huge rust spots inside and out despite careful maintenance. It was always covered when not in use and stored inside for the winter. Paint peeled in big sheets and rust formed inside and out, apparently the result of a bad paint job during Chinese manufacture. Asked Traeger to replace the out of warranty firebox as it was obviously poorly made and they refused. Moral: don't trust Traeger.

Hey BMETZ, check out the Pit Boss 700FB, I paid $386.99 for it at Walmart and it has worked great so far, I actually fired it up and watched it for awhile to make sure the temp was steady and it was. so far so good, the Pit boss has 700SQ" of cooking surface and a flame broiler, way heavier duty as well, my Treager Tailgater was 60# and this one was 113#, beefy
