    Kids wanting some pulled pork when we see them so decided why not , cut this monster into couple (more bark- better pulled pork IMO) I will put in Food saver bags and freeze for them here they are all rubbed down put on smoker ready to get "happy-happy" smoking with cherry/apple/hickory

    4.5 LB Shoulder roast and smoked baked beans

    Got up , had some much needed coffee, rubbed it down last evening with my own My Made Rub, got it out, made the baked beans in foiled pan while getting smoker up to around 250* per the Maverick 773 .... All prepped waiting on smoker Pork above beans for more good stuff/flavoring

    Tried something new

    Local market had a sale on pork butts @ $1.79 lb (only had small ones though) SO picked up a 4lb one and decided since I'd been wanting to try slicked instead of the usual pulled pork this was the perfect time.  Put butt on smoker last night at 4:20 pm , into smoker heated to 250- wind promptly...
