I am having my first RF Smoker built and I have been doing research on the burn in. I have seen people doing burn in with wood or charcoal and have seen everything from PAM to peanut oil recommended. What is the best method to do a burn in? what did you use? Why?

These are just some random pics from various BBQ's I did last summer. Chicken, Pork Shoulder, and Brisket. I modified my charcoal grill using rope gasket from Home Depot and help hold in the smoke and cooked them all using an indirect smoking method. Really looking forward to building my RF...
We have had some really nice weather, unusual for this time of year in WA so I was able to bust out the smoker and do up some chicken quarters. Used my personal rub and smoked them with Peach Wood and Persimmon wood using an indirect method. Total cook time, approx 2 hrs.
