    Butts and more

What started with two butts turned into: two butts, two pans of beans, two bacon wrapped meatloafs, a breakfast fatty, and a bottle of Honey Jack. A almost full smoker is a happy smoker. Everything went great except for a gluten free meatloaf that fell apart while removing, and...

    How much smoke?

New smoker built and fired. I got my inspiration from Pitmaker Vault and backwoods smoker designs. I am firing with charcoal ( both lump and briquettes ) and adding wood for smoke. The question is, How much wood do u need for the smoke? Is there a general rule of thumb? Or, just stick with...

    First smoker build.

My first build after looking at a lot of smokers. As being a steel worker I decided to build instead of buy. Also, price of a new one scared me. I built this with an ; all tubing frame, fully insulated w/2" insulation, 1/8" outside skin, and 3/16 inside liner. I believe in overkill. A...

    Smoked baked beans!

Just wanted to say wow. Dutch's (wicked baked beans) are the best beans I have had. I made a double batch for a small get together and had none left. I guess I will not make that mistake again. Thanks for the heads up on the recipe.
