Hello,
I am switching from a WSM and I was looking into the GMG DB for a few reasons. I want a little more set it and forget it, as my smoking partner left me to enjoy smoking by myself. I also am interested in using it as a grill, so this caught my eye.
It looks like the DB gets good reviews...
Hello,
I'm looking to get into an electric or pellet smoker after using a WSM. I really like my WSM, but I don't another person to help me get it set up anymore and I'd love to have something a little easier to just set and forget.
In my mind I have a budget idea of around $400, but it is not...
Does anyone have a recommendation for a pulled pork rub that you could get at somewhere like Walmart? I know making my own would be much better, but I'm looking for a rub I can just pick up.
I am smoking some pork for a co-worker, and I noticed I am out of my go-to rub. I want to grab something...
Does anyone use the Silver Bullet Jacket? I was wondering if it would be possible to use the Ique 110 with it? I know that you can use the BBQ Gurus with it, but I wasn't sure about the dog bowl on the Ique. I will be dealing with a lot of wind, rain, and of course, snow. Any help is appreciated!
Hello,
So I'd really like to have the rain box made for the Ique 110 and my Maverick. I am not what I'd call a handyman at all.
Would a fellow bbq loving member be interested in making one for me? I would pay you for parts, shipping, and any reasonable time charge of course. I know some people...
I'm planning on doing some more burnt ends soon, and I'd love to get some input from everyone on how they finish their point.
I usually seperate the flat from the point at the end of my smoke.
Does anyone still seperate their flat and point before foiling?
I know there are a ton of threads...
Hello all!
I smoked some spare ribs last weekend that turned out great. The problem was that I was using a Brinkmann S&G, and the temp fluctuated from 200-300 the whole cook. I ended up doing 3-1.45-1. I cooked based on how they looked because of temp problems.
Now that I have an 18.5 WSM, I...
I have an extra new unused Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5 midsection that I could part with.
Is anyone interested in purchasing this?
I might also be interested in a trade/exchange if someone has something in mind.
thanks

Hello all!
I found the schematics for the new WSM, and it shows a hole for a rubber grommet to put all the probes through. It also shows handles on the body of the unit.
I just ordered mine this weekend, so I'm hoping it comes with these new additions. If it doesn't, I am going to see if Weber...
Hello all!
I had a question for those of you who did the 3/8 grommet mod on the WSM. Has anyone noticed any temperature issues with these new holes, maybe some extra air running out?
It looks small enough that it shouldn't let much air out, but I wanted to check.
thanks

Hello all!
I just purchased my new 18.5 WSM as an upgrade from a Brinkmann S&G. I really did not enjoy the temperature issues with this unit, but otherwise it smoked some good que when I got the temperature right. I know that the WSM is supposed to maintain the temps I will be using, 225-250...
Hello all!
My name is Jordon up here in Sioux Falls SD. I have been a BBQ enthusiast for years, and just recently got my first smoker. Although it is only a Brinkman S&G, I have been able to make some alright que on it. I look forward to talking about all things smoking with all of you!
