Well, it seems to work really well. The smoker holds a steady tempeture for a lot longer than before with less wood/ lump charcoal. I did a brisket and 2 slabs in 9 hrs at 250 with under a 20# bag and some pecan and hickory chunks. It was about 38 degrees that night.
