well sum one hit a buton buck in front of my dads place
and he was able to get the kill
so he gave me 2 small roast out of it
my questions are
what temp is the best to cook to
and maybe an idea on weight to time ratio
plan on wrappin in bacon
smokin w/ oak and apple
any help would be...
smoked with oak and apple at around 250
took about 3.5 hours
2 hrs in put in a pan with a can of beer
for 1 hr then pulled out of pan and back in smoker for 1/2 hr
then rested for 1/2 hr
im hoping sum one out there can tell me in laymans terms how to post pics on the new forum
ive tried posting from my album only can get 1 pic then icant put any others like be fore
smoked a chuckie for dinner with oak and apple
250 for 2 hours then put in a pan with a can of beer covered with foil
back in the smoker for 1 hour pulled out then back on rack for half hour
let rest for 1/2 hour

did a few country ribs for dinner
seasoned with honey and brown sugar
230-250 temps wind was howling today
2-1.5-.5
hickory
they tuned out delish
but a little dry

we got a break in the rain today so i did a quick dinner
had sum split breast
coated with olive oil soy sauce and seasoned with cavenders salt free
greek seasoning
almost forgot that i soaked em in a brine for 4 hours
yummy

started at 5 am took about 7 hours at around 250
they weighed about 4.5 apiece
about 4hours in temp at 160
ready for the foil and cooler

it was a picture perfect day here in mid mich so for dinner did a burger and sum of jacksjalepeno and bacon and chedder brats

did this butt over night on sunday rubbed with a recipe i found and made sum mods to it cooked at 250 for 7 hours
at 4 hours in wrapped in foil for 2 hours then unwrapped and finished
