Good morning. I just noticed that I’ve been awarded the OTBS tag to my profile. To the crew that made this happen I thank you for that. I appreciate it.
So as I was smoking cheese for the first time I decided today was the day to Sous Vide for the first time. I vacuum sealed a couple off strip loins and a couple of chicken breasts. Simple Montreal seasoning on the steaks and some SPOG and Italian seasoning on the chicken before sealing.
Ran...
So I was gifted a pellet tube for Christmas and decided to try it in my pellet smoker just to see how things turn out.
This is my first time doing cheese.
I grabbed some old cheddar and some Gouda for this experiment. Left it unpackaged in the fridge overnight and pulled it out this morning. I...
My wife gifted me a new vacuum sealer for Christmas and when I saw the latest giveaway from Inkbird .... which I didn’t win by the way... I decided to pull the trigger on it with the great discount I got from Inkbird. 1/2 price( Thanks once again @Inkbirdbbq ) I can’t wait to try out this unit...
So I checked out Chickenwings post about ribs and he provided a recipe for corn bread. I’ve only eaten corn bread when I was in Louisiana. I’ve never made it. Being from Canada it’s not as popular but I did like it. So tonight I decided since we were having chili I thought it’s time I make it...
So the weather in Ontario was unseasonably warm last weekend so I decided it was a good time to try Disco's recipe for stuffed pork tenderloins.
I have to say these turned out even better than I expected. The stuffing was so good it took everything we had not to eat it all before putting it in...
Just received my instant read thermometer that I won from Inkbird. I already have one of these so I’m going to gift this one to a buddy. I love these thermometers. They are so easy to use and very accurate. Thanks again Inkbird. I really appreciate your products.
Decided to try out the pellet grill for some homemade pizzas. It was too hot to cook in the house so figured what the heck.
First one was just pepperoni and mozzarella cheese for my son.
The second one I had some leftover pulled pork from the weekend along with some fresh roasted red peppers...
Decided to fill up the grill again and test out my new Inkbird 4 probe unit. Wife marinaded chicken thighs in jerk paste and I made a meatloaf. Also threw in some sausages just cause lol. Everything turned out so good. I love my new Inkbird almost as much as my new pellet grill. Here’s a few...
Yesterday was a beautiful day to give my new pellet grill another workout.
I decided to try a few different types of meat on it and hope for the best.
1 Beef roast
1 Peameal roast
3 Mild Italian sausages
4 Chicken quarters
2 Pieces of salmon
All I can say is that this new smoker does not...
Finally got the chance to fire up my new pellet grill yesterday.
Decided to fill it up with a pork shoulder, whole chicken (beer can style infused with lemon wedges) and some centre cut ribs my wife picked up.
I started the shoulder at 9am and then put the chicken and ribs on at noon.
I have to...
Just added this Pellet Grill to my collection of cooking tools last night.
I couldn't resist the deal.
All reviews of it were very good.
Assembled it last night and ran some pellets through it to "season it"
So far I like what I see.
Can't wait to cook on it for the first time.
With fathers day coming up I was thinking of asking my better half for a new smoker.
I love my charcoal/ wood burning unit that I have but I have been really considering getting an electric smoker of some kind just to experiment with.
I'll be honest I haven't done much research on brands and...
So I decided to fill the smoker up this weekend since it was such a nice day Saturday. I did up some Centre Cut side ribs, some chorizo sausages and a peameal (aka Canadian Bacon....Aka cured pork loin rolled in corn meal). I make my own blend of rub....very low salt.
I used apple wood for...
Good Afternoon to everyone.
I joined this forum last week and I have to say that right now I'm a little bit overwhelmed.
I can't stop reading posts and looking at all the wonderful meals people have made. LOL
I'm from Ontario Canada so I get to deal with ambient temperature issues year round.
I...
