    Be Safe Southerners!

I can’t meet tomorrow Jake. We are actually headed out of town for a couple of days. Hardest hit areas in this area are locked down right now. I’m in the planning stages right now to go to a small town (Bremen) near here on Wednesday (hopefully) to set up and cook whatever I can for whoever...

    Be Safe Southerners!

There is a group called Operation BBQ Relief being deployed to Mayfield. They will be cooking and serving 1000’s of meals. You may want to look them up. It’s a great organization that started out cooking for returning troops. 100 % of All donations go directly to relief without any money being...

    First Attempt at Bacon

Thanks for the reply Al. I soaked the belly for 1 hour. I changed the water after 30 minutes. I then did a fry test and it’s perfect. Thanks for your help.

    First Attempt at Bacon

I also purchased some of his Golden Brown Sugar Cure. I was given the following instructions for curing the belly. 1/2...

    KCBS Contest Cooker Options

Hi Robert. We’ve looked at toy haulers for taking the trike along with us camping but have decided against that route. I absolutely love cooking on my kettles and that’s kinda why I was leaning toward them. I’ve got a vortex for the 18” and I’m slowly gathering accessories for the 26”. A...

Drums are certainty an option. I cooked a backyard comp in April using 2. No brisket in the BY contest. I’ve got to sell some cookers sooner or later. 😀
