Just moved from gas to charcoal and have benefited greatly from this forum.
But also have spent more than I had orginally planned.
I just bought a weber 221/2 silver one touch and the weber smoky mountain cooker.
Question--to impressed my wife (and hopefully divert her attention as to costs) is...
Just bought a weber smoky mountain cooker based on your recommendations--as well as the maverick 73 thermometer.
Question--what is the best way to use it with the cooker.

I have a small gas grill and just bought a weber one touch silver 221/2.
I was hoping to use it to do slow low temp cooking --like for brisket.
Some have said its hard to get temp low enough.
Dilemma--should I take it back and get --say a weber smoky mountain or is there enough difference to...
Can I use a weber one touch silver charcoal grill to smoke effectively--especially over long hours such as when cooking a brissket?
If so where can I mount my maverick thermometer?

Ceramic grills claim that only their grills give food a taste unmatched by any other grills--plus the keep meats more moist and use much less fuel.
Is this true --how does it compare to say a weber dome charcoal grill?
Appreciate an answer soon in immediate marker for grill.
