Hi all, just wondering if anyone is going to the New Holland Sumerfest and BBQ cookoff on the 23rd in Pa. I have never been there and thought I would check it out. Sounds like it is a pretty big event for this area.
I have a 3# prime sirloin roast for today and would like help with cooking method. Smoke, rotisserie, or just grill it. It is very lean with no visible fat. Thanks in advance.
Sat. I bought a Treager pellet burner and brought it home ,seasoned it, and filled her up today. First smoke was 2 racks of baby backs, 5 split chix and a dozen pork chops. The easiest smoke I ever had and tasted great. I am truely sold on these pellet burners. Sorry didnt get any Q pics
It's been a very busy weekend with the smokers. Saterday started off with 10# of jerky going in my electric smoker and 10 whole chix legs and 2 breasts going in my baby brink. Today I have 4 racks of baby backs going in the electric with apple smoke. Should be a great week of packed lunches...
I am in the middle of the largest smoke to date for me. I have 12# pork loin and 3 full racks of babybacks going in one smoker and 8# of chicken parts going in new brinkman charcoal smoker. Sure does keep me busy makin sauses and such. Going to be good eats all week.
