First smoker build reverse flow any suggestions????

I had to look back to page one. So you plan on the connection between the two chambers to be 10" that and with the radiant heat from the firebox you will be fine. You could be 36" tall and have at least three grates 6+ inches apart. You will only need a short 6" diameter exhaust about 12" tall.

At 36" long what would the dimensions be for your warmer?

First smoker build reverse flow any suggestions????

Your warmer is straight up if you plan on feeding it that way so minimal intake is all you will need. With that being said I always add as much intake as I can for those day when there is not much wind and the cooker may need it. Normally if the cooker is properly balanced only the required...

First smoker build reverse flow any suggestions????

No Sir no need in it. We put intakes on both sides of this firebox. I helped design this one it is a good friends in Missouri.

    Short Smoke on A WSM

I would. We always load the basket and just snuff it out for later use.

My first attempt at a build.

If more than 3" puts your coal base or fire into your tunnel I would stick to the 3" area. Lay it out with a piece of bar first to get a visual of what you'll end up with. You kinda lose ground fast in a 19" firebox.

My first attempt at a build.

Over time the expanded metal will burn out and have to be replaced. Either will work fine no doubt just plan for the future and save a bottom for later use. :)

My first attempt at a build.

Nice set up there for sure. I would lay a piece of expanded metal across it to help keep your smaller embers from falling through or cut the spacing down to about 5/8" between the bars.

First smoker build reverse flow any suggestions????

The frame is 1" x 1" x 1/8" angle. The sides are #9 x 3/4" flat expanded metal. The first bottom layer is 1.5" raised expanded metal with a top of #9 x 3/4" flat expanded. No warpage at all I build all my baskets this way. The vee cradle is 1/2" hot roll and removable.

First smoker build reverse flow any suggestions????

I prefer vertical horizontal slides on my firebox. I place my basket about 3" off the bottom. My intakes are tall enough to feed the bottom and middle of my basket. My basket. My intakes.

Brisket AND Pork Shoulder? Can it be done?

Side by side if they fit and your'e comfortable with it sure. There is a chance the shoulder will take longer than the brisket that would be my guess.

    Birthday Brisket advice.

About 5 hours give or take then you will need an oven to keep it above 140.

1st smoker build too late but still wanna know

I reference mark my cookers with center punch marks on each end 12,3,6 and 9. These are very handy throughout the build. Making sure the chamber is level on 3 and 9 to set the bottom rails I then take a piece of angle iron with the vertical cut back about a 1/2" so it does not touch the chamber...
