This is a legitimate question. When we smoke ribs or butts we hose them down every hour with apple juice. It adds to the flavor as well as the really nice bark on the meat. Do you spray the turkey with anything during the smoking time? I'm wondering what apple juice would do for the flavor...

Bear, each piece was around 2lbs, give or take an ounce or two.
I used 1 TBSP per pound of meat. USED a TBSP per side.
After looking at your thread I didn't fry test them.
Well I decided to give Bacon On A Stick a try. I was super excited to try these and talked them up all week to the family.

Thanks BD, I will heed your advice. The only thing that is different is the fact that I don't use charcoal, I use oak and maple for heat and cherry, etc... for smoke.

I got my expanded metal grate at Lowe's. Just be sure that you don't ask them, "Where is your expanded metal?" Those idiots have no clue what it even is and will tell you that they don't have it. It'll be in the hardware isle at the end, past all of the nuts and bolts.
