sounds like you got a clog or something ...i would turn everything off and check the regulator and the line and then relight and see what happens....your flame looks all yellow and if i remember correctly it either your tank is low or you have a blockage , the flame should have some blue tips...

the needle valve should help you to lower temps in your GOSM....on my gosm with the stock valve i can only get my down to about 190-200 on low....with the valve mod you should be able to get it down alot lower..i still got to do mine as well.....

the only thing i think you well need to do is flip around the trays for even cooking....i know my gosm has a tendecy to burn things on the lower rack from the direct heat....and my hats off to you for donating to a shelter
i was just at the basspro here oklahoma city and they had a few ...why couldnt you get one shipped to you....or check some other local stores and see what they got but keep in mind that what was said earlier winter is really not BBQ season ....good luck

hey you all ....i added some gauges to my oklahoma joe and i wanted to see how much of a difference of temp would be on each end and decided to do a Salmon during the process....did a quick 3 hr rub with weber southern whisky rub with a little oil and added some brown sugar.....
about 250 for...
9:00 pm last night and it is still only 156 at 20minutes ago ...something ain't right you better check your temp gauge in the meat or your temp smoker gauge is off...because at 225 for 15 hrs that quite a long time for a 8lb briskie....or its one helluva stall....but i bet one of your gauges are...
looks good like the fatty fillings ...on the pork loin i tried to pull one once and it didnt really work too well , i was told that are too lean for that so good luck be interested in yours ....
went to academy this morning and saw this and thought i would pick some up...bought 2 4oz containers for .99 ea....looks like everyday price what do ya'll think good deal or no....and will probably need some info on how to use this pink salt...always used Moton TQ
i could be wrong but i think that smoker at academy goes for about $550 or $600....if thats the case they may be asking too much for it.....but if its in good shape $350
i was at bass pro shops the other day and i think GOSM was bought out by a company called Landmann because they make a smoker and it looks identical to my GOSM and the stock gauge even said Great Outdoor Smokey Mountain....but they had sq racks and stuff might try there if you have one close..if...
