I've had several baking stones that I used with my ceramic cooker and most of them cracked. I used them as a barrier in the cooker.
I then bought a couple of Fibrament baking stones.
I use one in my now mostly unused ceramic and the other one is used in my house oven.
They are kind of pricey...
I'm happy to say I got rid of my 6 rack Bradley (used once!) and a few others in favor of an Amerique.
I grabbed the Bradley because it was a great deal, but really, really like the Amerique.
The one problem I can see with the Bradley bisquettes (other than price), is their availability. After checking with Amazon, they average .44 a piece, buying a 60 pack. I can get chucks for much less.
If you don't buy them online, there are very few places to buy them locally (at least in the...
Just bought an Amerique.
My wife put her foot down, (finally)! I was getting ridiculous, I had 2 40" MES, a Komodo, 6 rack digital Bradley and a Cookshack 008 and a Cookshack 009.
Just sold all but the Komodo and replaced the electrics with the Amerique.
Really like the Cookshack products.
I've owned MES. Bradley, Komodo and Cookshack smokers.
If you can afford the extra money, I'd go for a Cookshack.
Head and tails over any other electric I've seen.
I'm selling this 1 year old 009 that is in excellent condition.
Comes with the Cookshack stand and cover.
I can't ship it, it has to be picked up in the Boston area.
I can deliver it within 50 miles of South Boston, or meet you somewhere.
I'm selling it and a Bradley to buy a Fast Eddy FEC-100...

Gruelurks:

It's funny, I used to live in Weymouth Heights in my "other" life before the ex and the Weymouth Police asked me to leave! It turned out that it was a good thing! I'm in South Boston now.

I have a ceramic cooker and use a "plate setter".
I have had a couple and wrap them in foil, they ended up cracking eventually from the heat.
Do yourself a favor and google Fibrament, and look into buying one of their baking stones. A little bit more money, but well worth it and they don't...
Gruelurks,
Sorry, but I don't think I could sell it to you for $1000 after that comment about wanting some Papa Gino's Pizza
That's probably about the worst pizza in the area!
I'm in the Boston area and this has to be picked up locally.
I think I've used it 3 times, it's in like new condition and comes with unused racks and water pan. It also comes with additional racks and 1 other controller. These are from another unit I had.
I have the original box, manual and...
