Hi there and welcome!
I get them at any run of the mill grocery store that has them for the best price. I'm fortunate to be in a big city with lots of options. I wouldn't worry about going to a butcher. Get what you can at the best price and cook them up.
If you do Food Lion and Walmart...
Like the other guys are saying, I believe you can remove your mailbox mod and be good to go. I feel like a good compact design might even allow you to just slide it under the legs there. If it sets on top of something it should be free of direct rain and any running water that goes under your...
Day 2 report - well the left over 8oz or so froze quite solid over night. It will need a little defrosting time and the wait is killing me. So if not eating it all in 1 go then it seems it will need some defrost time when coming back to it. Just wanted to put the info out there in case people...
Hahhaha yeah! If I were to solder everything, wow would it last forever. I mean my element COULD be replaced since I know the insulation on it is likely the reason it trips GFCI breakers but it operates with no other issue and I have a non GFCI plug I plug it into so I'm just waiting for a big...
Lol it was so long ago now aye, and thanks!
The whole reason I started this thread was to help because when I came across all the MES issues there were only bits and pieces of info that had to be searched out and sandwiched together but still didn't give the full picture. My hope was that...
Congrats on the rewire!!!
Yeah your braided wires are red and blue. As long as you go smooth white to braided and smooth black to braided, you have completed the rewire!
Soon you will be full blown PID operating :D
So I did this with my Aroy-D and it's about 1hr 45 min and I had to try it. The top is fairly firm but no issue getting through it with a spoon. The bottom and middle still needs to firm up more.
So far I'm liking it and though it's not exactly the texture of ice cream, it is still very much...
If you don't have a panel to it, it will be wise to cut one in the back so you can have easy access to the switch. It never fails that the switch will go bad on you while in the middle of a smoke.
At that point if you have a panel you can at least cut out the old switch, wire nut the 2 wire...
OMG thanks for this, I'll have to try this. I have about 2 cases off Aroy-D coconut milk that is basically just coconut cream with coconut water on it unless I mix it up so I can just drain/drink off the water and boom basically coconut cream! :D
I think tomorrow I may try it. Also I have...
Hi there and welcome!
The only "better" you can get is to get ceramic switches. Just know that if you wiggle the tabs on the switches AT ALL (where they connect to the back of the switch) the switch will likely melt down on you after a while (months maybe). So I found it best to gently get...
Head Country was my favorite sugar free sauce but now Rays (by sweet baby rays) is my favorite sugar free bbq sauce. It's just damn good as is and they use allulose for the sweetener which seems to cause no issues with diabetics or keto folks. I believe some diabetics get insulin responses...
That might have to be the approach if I try it. I've learned the hard way that the pills don't work fast enough in my stomach for me to attempt regular milk or ice cream hahaha. They are fine if I happen to go wild on too much cheese. I wonder if I were to ferment the cream with my yogurt...
That all seems awesome!!!! I'm pretty lactose intolerant but still interested. I think half a cup of sharp cheddar has about the same amount of lactose as 100gm of heavy cream so that might be about the limit provided the heavy cream isn't "bulked" up with actual milk.
I did go down the rabbit...
Lookin good, welcome to the PID club!!!
If you need any PID tuning numbers should the autotune not behave well, we can whip some up for you. Can't wait to see what you smoke :D
Once you rewire you can plug in the MES cord and the heating element will simply heat up but don't leave it like that. It has no control. Basically plugging it in is ON and unplugging is off. If left plugged in it will heat until the safety switch stops for short time or it burns down lol...
Nice!!!!
Yeah that seems to be the favorite option of folks. It has all the bells and whistles AND is easy to use with the mobile app interface. Programming the base level one with the buttons is not intuitive. It's a 1 time act that isn't hard but their directions were written by a drunk...
No problem. Actually this will make everything nice and concise :D
1. Instructions to rewire will bypass the MES controller automatically. All the rewire is doing is connecting the MES plug wires to the wires that run to the MES heating element thereby making all the electronics in the MES...
