Hahah I knew there would be no sure fire way to do this! Like I said, I was just being lazy in spirit. I pulled the trigger on a motorized stuffer so all I have to do now is press a button, and while the plunger raises I do other stuff. Wash a couple of dishes, etc. takes half a second to...
Ok, so this might be the laziest idea of all time but I thought I'd throw it out there. Lets say I mix a 5 pound batch of each of the following all pork sausages: Italian, hot italian, kielbasa, brats. And I want to be super lazy and load them all into the canister of a 30 pound stuffer...
I did read about that but I've seen videos of motorized stuffers in action and it definitely doesn't take more than a few minutes to empty the whole canister even at the lower speeds so this shouldn't be an issue.
Yeah, this one comes with the hand crank also so that is always an option if I...
I feel your pain. I ordered a 20 pound manual stuffer and promptly returned it when it was nearly impossible for me to crank and stuff simultaneously. I am almost always going at the stuffing process solo so the motorized sounds ideal. Some opinions I have gotten against the motorized stuffer...
Yeah Al, its a big investment but it will make my life so much easier. Hoping that it doesn't happen but if after a while if the motor did die on me, they do sell a replacement part for it and I have an electrical minded friend who could probably rig something up for me. Refilling the canister...
Hi All,
Many times throughout the year I do charity and veteran outreach events and thanks to what I have learned on this site, I am now the sausage guy. I am often tasked with making between 30-100 lbs. of sausage for events throughout the year. Pretty tough task with my 5lb. LEM manual...
Thanks everyone! I am really loving it! Its been 3 whole day since I used her last and I miss her haha. Thing holds temps like a champ and to be honest is so easy to use. Its a stick burner so it will never be set and forget but now that I know how big a fire to build for certain cooking...
Been so busy this summer so I haven't been on here too often. But after a long wait, my Shirley Fabrication smoker came home with me at the beginning of August. A buddy of mine and I took the trip from Long Island, NY down to Tuscaloosa, AL to pick her up. Paul and Tyler Shirley and their...
Have been busy lately but meant to report back that mine was ready in early August, so me and a buddy took a trip down to Tuscaloosa from Long Island,NY to pick it up. The specs are as follows:
24x60 elevated straight back cabinet model on a trailer with an elevated and rotated warmer.
Have...
I will chime in with my vote and say, spend $299 on a Pit Barrel Cooker (great flavor, ease of use, good capacity when hanging) and then use the extra $100 to find a nice Weber Kettle on facebook marketplace or craigslist. I am a big fan of the WSM as well, but portability is important to me...
I am by no means a pellet grill expert. I have a camp chef that I got off craigslist and I am happy with the way it cooks ribs and chicken. The one thing I should mention is that it doesn't really cook consisntantly low enough for smoked sausage cooks. So for example, the low smoke setting is...
I will have to say, one of my favorite "smaller" brands of BBQ sauce and rubs are Code 3 spices. Their Patriot Sauce is great. I have followed them on facebook and instagram as they grew from something very small to now much larger distribution. Think they just signed a deal with Ace Hardware...
