BTW, I have read about the tray mod - How can I tell if I have a tray that should be modded? My tray now is about 4"4" and all the way to the left of the burning element.

otter - yes I did season the smoker - twice actually. Once per the instruction in the manual (no Pam/Oil in their process) and then again after I read in these forums that many people use Pam.
