I have the rec tec mini that is great! Very well made. The mini is big enough for my family of three. Next one I buy will be the 680. They have made some recent updates to the rec tec grills. They now come with a ceramic igniter which should last for years. They also have a porcelain coating...
I am smoking a pork shoulder as I write this. I think the vent holes :sausage:are fine. Plenty of smoke in the chamber when you open the door . :sausage::grilling_smilie:
I bought the pellet pro. Very easy to install and use. I occasionally get a little bit of smoke coming out the pellet hopper so I may need to upgrade to the new fan and auger motor to fix that problem. I also have a rec tec mini which operates perfectly right out of the box

I have a Traeger Eastwood which is a :sausage:model made for Home Depot. The controller that came with the unit allowed temperature swings that were just ridiculous. Plus or -30° . I put a pellet pro controller on that thing and it is awesome. Temperature is within 5° of the set temperature...
Been lurking in SMF for several years. Learned to smoke with WSM 18 then 22. Now have Traeger Eastwood and Rec Tec mini. All make great bbq. Wsm more smoke- Pellets crazy easy. I love them all. Next I need to try an offset smoker!
