    HELP- Which MES 40" model do I want?

    last week I bought the MES 40" 2nd Gen from Sams.  PD 299. PD for the 2 yr replacement plan.  Chips went on fire for the 1st Seasoning.  After that everything works great. In first week I did 2 chicken halves, turkey breast, and 25 lbs of venison summer sausage. the window is useless!!!

    NEW MES 40

    Purchased  a MES 40 from SAMS, Set it up. Seasoned it,  took 52 minutes to get it to 275 degrees.  meat probe was reading 300? Put in 1/2 cup of chips and they caught on fire, I think they were too small of a cut,  they were chips for a little chief smoker and very thin cut more like a shred...
