How do I learn to be paitent

I remember wax on and wax off and paint the fence but never saw the Komado directors cut. I will just have to light it and then do some food prep while I wait. Thanks all

How do I learn to be paitent

I have been using my Primo a bit and feel like I am learning something each time I cook with it. It's a brilliant bit of kit. The biggest issue I am having is thinking it's ready to go only to find I am always a bit to early to start cooking but not being quite upnto temperature. Did pizzas...

    Shout out to California

Just wanted to shout out all our friends in California during what can only be described as a nightmare situation. Having to go through similar fires of this scale here in Australia I know it must be horrific, letting you know my thoughts are with You all. Please Stay Safe

    Upped my game today

Have used it three times now 1st was a boneless lamb shoulder, then a load of bread and last night sausages on direct heat over the coals What amazes me is how you can lock in temps so accurately. Get it going, let it warm up choose vent positin and boom it's sits there. It's got to be witch...

To clean or not to clean

Glad to see it a bit of a mixed bag. I guess I should have said what I do, I am more of a heat and scrape clean type of person. I have never cleaned the inside of the lid (probably should). To clean or not to clean

Since getting my new Primo I have done some cleaning on the BabyQ and 6 Burner gasser(no brand name left on it). Got me thinking. My Dad(RIP) would always just let the old wood fire and later on gass BBQ burn out or turn off and do nothing else. Next time we used it he would heat it up and give...

    Upped my game today

Well I have done my first cook. I eneded up doing a boneless lamb roast. It was about 3kg(6pounds). The primo was as simple to light as any BBQ or fire I have ever done. Shut the lid opened vents and watched the temp fly up. I was amazed at how much it slowed down to a crawl when I closed the...

    Upped my game today

Thanks everyone. I am going to light it today and have a test run. It has a defector rack but no plates. I have a smaller than the supplies pizza stone I was going to use. Will that work until I have the funds to get a proper one ?

    Upped my game today

Found a primo round on marketplace today. Picked it up for $800 AUD. Very happy with the price, real bargain. Seller won it but had no interest in using the type of BBQ. He just wanted rid of it. Is was still in original wrapping and never been used

    G'day from Adelaide

Barossa Valley is very nice. Sometimes take it for granted that it's so close. Now I can have a wine with each of the meats I make, pairing them should be lots of fun.

    G'day from Adelaide

Just introducing myself as a newish to the game from South Australia. I have just started smoking meats and am really enjoying the learning curve. My wife got me a smokai smoker for my birthday and I have found using it to be very enjoyable. I have also loved how much better my food has tasted...

What tools does a beginner need after getting an offset smoker? (BUDGET minded)

This had been a very interesting read. I am pretty new at this and will definitely look into the welding blanket. Although here in Aus we dont get super cold but anything that helps with temps control will be good
