I found a site called elementsandmore.com
They have replacement sealing strips for Foodsaver and Rival units. I've no experience with these folks and have not done business with them; this is just a heads-up that the parts are out there :)
I trashed an older Rival that suffered from the same...
I'm an extreme amateur, with probably a dozen or less sessions under my belt over the last two years. That said, it's my opinion that 10' is a little over the top; I'm sure they are basing that on some recommendations by their lawyers :) I've got mine in a corner of our deck, about 3' from the...
The AMNPS is now on order, along with another 10lbs of pellets in apple, cherry, oak, maple and pecan.

Sorry for the thread necro, but I'm really curious as to how this is holding up. If I'm reading the thread dates correctly, it looks like you've been using this for over a year. Have you had any problems or needed to make any modifications?
Hello all,
I've had an electric smoker that's worked well for several years now, but the thermostat finally started to fail. My wife bought me a Masterbuild 2-door for my birthday last month to replace it, so now I'm a member of the propane club :)
I'm looking forward to getting started with...
