    Lonestar Grillz Pellet Smoker Info

Yup. The more people I find on the internet that have ordered one have said what you are saying. Just seems wild. But worth it. They just got a big firmware update, so it's good to see that FireBoard is still working on making their LSG controller better.

    Lonestar Grillz Pellet Smoker Info

I was just not buying that it would take so long. Well I emailed this week to change something on my order and just wanted a real response on timing, they said expect the full 18 weeks that’s just the way it is. And the more people I’ve run into online, it’s just verified. So I’m expecting early...

    Ex6 vs ironwood 885

Pellet hopper has been reconfigured. Auger placement also has changed. Some cosmetic changes, more blacked out and a questionable inside light. Those seem to get mixed reviews in how long they last and how well they work. For me, the hopper and it jamming was my main complaint. But during the...

    Lonestar Grillz Pellet Smoker Info

oh dude, if this site could somehow make commission, haha. Part of the reason I made the plunge was that I was pretty set. Meat probes, instant read thermo, trays and pans. I am freaking ready!! But it came after I got to this site and bought the SmokeFire and realize I was only part of the way...

    Lonestar Grillz Pellet Smoker Info

This forum and so many of you helped me make sense of this fun and confusing at first, world of smoking meat. Your help directed me to purchasing a Weber SmokeFire and using it every week for months. After a few months with the SmokeFire, I realized smoking meat was a new hobby that was here to...

Fireboard 2 and Custom SmokeFire Grates for sale

This could get shut down, I am not sure if we are allowed to do this. I don't want any trouble but I have some things for sale and live in Ladera Ranch in Southern California. In February I bought a SmokeFire pellet grill, loved it and then Weber announced a new version. I was going to return...

    New Traeger Grills 2022

Right!? Not to offend anyone, but seems like those top end ones are not marketed to real pellet heads trying to replicate a stick burning experience. If I am spending that much, I would just go up a bit and get a Lone Star pellet grill. Those really seem to be the gold standard. Nothing wrong...

    Ex6 vs ironwood 885

New version of EX6 is going to drop any minute. I already pre-ordered it from BBQ Guys. It fixes an issue with the hopper and is supposed to have some more room for drip trays. Weber seems to like the idea of direct heat and smoke in the cooking chamber rather than totally changing the grease...

Pellet Smoker - Need advice on first one

According to The BBQ Guys website about the stealth: "The Weber SmokeFire EPX6 STEALTH pellet grill has a hopper capacity of 20 lbs" I think the current gen is at 22 pounds. 2 pounds is not totally negligible but 20lbs seems like a good amount.

Pellet Smoker - Need advice on first one

Pellet Smoker Cook Off This video was posted when I put up thread asking basically the same thing. It pushed me towards a SmokeFire. Really liked it. Returning it under the 100 money back guarantee because I want the new one that is due out this Spring. The food it makes is awesome. My main...

    First attempt Brisket

I am still very new too, but I'd say letting it cool before putting it in the cooler was the biggest standout in the thread. The cut of meat could be part of it too. Fat cap, how thick the flat actually was. I have put a temp probe in both the point and flat and have had to rotate my brisket mid...

    Bought the Weber EX6

Man, it sure looks like they changed the hopper and where the sensor is located which would be my main complaint on the current version. But maybe not. And from the looks, the cooking chamber looks the same. We’ll see in about a month.

    Bought the Weber EX6

I am also a SmokeFire EX6 guy. Been at it for about a month. I really like the food it produces. I have nothing to compare it to, but love the smoke flavor and overall ease of use. Just a heads up, Weber has a Stealth version on its website. It has some key changes to the hopper and looks like...

Any experience/recs for using Fireboard 2 or Signals?

This is what sums me up I think. I like the idea of having some data to learn the different heat points of my smoker as well as just really like having the data to review. Feel like I hear great things about both. Went with the Fireboard.

Haha. I was just busting your chops a bit. It was funny. Peace

Any experience/recs for using Fireboard 2 or Signals?

Thanks for the response. I agree. And I am always learning new things here. You smokers have some cool jargon and lingo. Trying to figure out what unit of measurement a Drew is. And which Drew? Bledsoe? Carey? Both are pretty big guys so being off by two Drews could be quite a bit.

Any experience/recs for using Fireboard 2 or Signals?

I am really enjoying smoking meat on my Weber SmokeFire. I have found the temperature controls fine. I was wondering if any pellet smokers out there used additional temperature monitoring devices like a Fireboard 2 or Signals from Thermoworks? Would you recommend one over the other? Would you...

A pellet smoker that actually smokes meat??

OK, I have nothing to compare it to, but wow, I am impressed with the SmokeFire. I put some drip pans under the meat but it turned out so well. Great smoke flavor. Pulled Pork was awesome. I feel like the bark turned out awesome. I am working my way to brisket and can't wait to smoke some more...
