    WSM cold weather

    WSM cold weather

If it is really cold out do not use water in the pan, it is just one more thing to absorb heat. I use the Minion method and don't skimp on the coals, they will snuff out when the vents are closed at the end of the smoke and you can re-ignite them on the next smoke.

How I start and use my WSM....

+1 on the side burner, no scrounging for paper or waiting for the paper to catch fire to make the coals catch on fire.

    Webber Smokey Mountain Question...

I soaked two chickens in Orange Juice, thyme and rosemary. I didn't want to waste the juice and I most certainly will not drink it, so I put it in the pan. No problems with the heat, or flavor.

    Hello from Roselle, Illinois

My name is Paul, I grew up in Michigan where we hunted and fished and everything ended up in the frying in a pan or baked in the oven, which isn’t all bad, but after I was introduced to smoked meats and vegetables, I knew that I had to get involved and educated. I hunt deer in Illinois and wild...
