    You can check the Thermoworks or any thermometer by using boiling water, 212 degrees at sea level lower with elevation.

    All in on All Clad. Use mine every day along with cast iron and carbon steel. Clean the All Clad with Bar Keepers Friend and they will look like new. Some of mine are 30 yrs old. I have many cast iron pans all but a few are dump or yard sale finds of Griswold or Wagner brands.

    I bought a Hypertherm Powermax 45 8 years ago and have never used my gas axe since. I only have a 5 gallon compressor but have cut 1' steel with it. Air and Electricity!

    If all else fails look into Muriatic Acid. It's a diluted version of Hydrochloric and works very well for cleaning masonry. just use the recommended precautions. sold at most any hardware or big box stores.

    Hannaford Chain in New England (Food Lion in the South) has Boston Butts for $0.99 per pound starting tomorrow Sunday 4/28 - 5/4/2024. They had them at that price a couple of weeks ago and I did 3, 12 pounders in my MES 40, pulled at 205, like butter.

    I have a carbon steel 8" fry pan I bought in a Santa Monica CA French bakery in 1976 and we use nearly every day. I use cast iron the most and All Clad stainless as well, we too have Revere Ware from our wedding in1974 and the 3 qt sauce pan is our vegie steamer also used most days

    We are allowed, encouraged actually to pick from the piles. There is a small building where "good stuff' is put for easy picking. I have picked 5 Weber kettles, 2 MES smokers and untold other things.
