    CrazyQ's BBQ Trailer Build

After seeing your project come to completion I started gathering up bits and pieces to copy your build. I absolutely love the size and design. All that being said do you have any kind of plans you went off of? If so would you mind sharing them?I picked up a 24"x60" piece of pipe from my work...

    offset smoker with propane burner

As well as this worked I have not really used it since I came across a smoking deal on a insulated aluminum widebody gsm upright. I just needed more surface area than the offset could provide. This has really just been collecting dust since then and I think I may post it on craigslist.

Building A Smoker Into My Truck Bed

I have contemplated this very idea many times. I will have to wait for the little ones get a little older before I can start on a project that I KNOW will end up going way over budget. Nevermind the difficulty that would come with trying to explain to the wife what I will be doing with a...

    My Craigslist find

We are planning a little get together for Grandparents day coming up. I used it as an excuse to smoke something. Going to be doing at least a brisket and maybe some chickens,so we'll see.

Reverse Flow Build using 100lb Propane Cylinder

I see what you mean as far as ideas from the site I see a few design similarities from another build. That what is great about this site being able to put together several ideas to make it more your own. Your quality of the build looks real good!

    My Craigslist find

I have been watching craigslist for awhile now for a decent vertical smoker. I saw this get posted several months ago at $175 and realized that it the style I wanted. I continued to watch and wait and then I though what was a good deal popped up on a New in the box Brinkman. After assembling it...

    CharBroil - Upgrade/Reverse Flow Conversion

Well I ran it for about 23-24hrs this last weekend to season it and to see how she'd do. I am kicking my self for not taking any pics of the Q that this produced. We had an quick little get together and I threw on a 11lb brisket and 2 whole chickens. Took a little longer to heat up than I was...

    CharBroil - Upgrade/Reverse Flow Conversion

I am sure a lot of people have seen the CharBroil Propane/Reverse Flow Conversion on the web. Well I used that as a template for my design. I used 1" square tubing and began building a more robust frame. Everytime I moved it around in and out of the shed I thought the thing was going to fall...

    offset smoker with propane burner

I would say its about 4-5" off the burner. By keeping the vents barely open I can control the flare-ups. Actually since that pic was taken I have replaced the grate with a much heavier duty to give me more mass in the firebox to help hold heat. I will try and post up a pic later.

    Re-cutting doors?

I have started cutting the pieces for the firebox out of some 1/4" plate I picked up the other day. Since the back of the tank was already replaced with a flat piece of steel I am going to cut it out and make the firebox/warmer like on the lang 84 I figure since I am going to replace it I...

    Re-cutting doors?

As I look deeper into this I realize what poor quality was put into this smoker. The firebox is only made of 1/8" thick steel and is heavily pitted especially around any weld area. I am afraid if start grinding into it to remove the rust I may just go right through it without really trying. I...

New smoker - Help needed with troubleshooting

I wonder if you are not getting enough flow out of your exhaust to create sufficient draw. I know you said it raises up a inch or so but I wonder if it needs to go higher. I am by no means a pro, just throwing out ideas.

    Re-cutting doors?

Aside from adding the RF plate, the only thing I want to do is possibly add a vertical chamber above the firebox for warming/smoking. If I do this how do I calculate the exhaust size if the stack will exit the top of the vertical chamber. Do I need to have 2 exausts? One for the vertical box and...
