    I will be doing my first smoke this Sunday. Does anyone have any suggestions on my first attempt? Something easy and fairly fail safe. I would like to impress the misses so as to justify the cost.

    Just purchased my first smoker and i'm lookin forward to getting started. I posted a ? in the wood smoker forum so I won't ask it again here. But I'm a little confused on seasoning.

    Newbie with first smoker

    Hello all I just purchased my first smoker and need to season it. Friends of mine are telling me to cover the entire inside with oil when seasoning. However, the instructions in bold print says to coat only the grates and none of the painted surfaces. Your help would be grately :D appreciated.
