    I Was thinking of either propane or electric since they would be easier to control the temp.

    Almost finished with my smoker. I am debating whether to put an exhaust pipe out the side of the smoker or just put in a vent for the exhaust. Trying to find out what people have had the most success with.

    Your smoker sounds like a winner. My frame is made from Lowes untreated pine 2x4's with a 2x6 base around the bottom of the wood frame anchored to the block base. I think I might just go your route and just see how it goes unlined. The cost and aggravation skyrockets using aluminum or...

    So is the top of your smoker wood? Just wondering if you hot or cold smoke, and what temps your smoker sees. Any charred wood or problems with the upper wood framing??
