I smoked 4 racks of beef ribs this past weekend for the NFL playoffs. I haven't had a chance to smoke in a couple of weeks, so I was dying to fire her up. These ribs were $.59/lb and had about 6-8 ribs per rack. All 4 racks cost me under $10.00, and they fed 3 couples and kids. What a deal...
Thanks for the input everyone.
Currently I am using logs and chunks . . . a lot of it too.
I will try and cut down on the wood, keeping a supply ready to add when needed. I'm also going to bend the tabs on the side dampers to allow for them to close completely.
:?: How much wood do people use in their GOSM :?:
I have removed the provided wood pan, and I am using a 9x12 baking pan instead. I try and put as much wood in there as it will hold, but I am noticing that the smoke coming out is coming out pretty strong. But my product (ribs, chicken...
I haven't really had any need for customer service concerning my GOSM. Any questions that I had have been answered by this and the Yahoo site. As far as the somker itself, it has been great and has performed like a champ.
I also haven't really had a problem with temp fluctuation. It's...

I know we are getting off topic, and this question may be better posted in the propane section, but I was trying to find the picture of your GOSM, smokin_all_night, but was not able to find it. Where exactly can that be found?
With that GOSM, have you made any modifications on it? I have found a lot of success, and love using it. It does flare up after about 3 - 4 hours, but other than that, I have been very happy. Just wondering if another GOSM user has any tricks of the trade that I don't know about.
I don't use...
