    Suggestions on Brats and Sausages

So Friday is my alma mater's big rivalry game and I will be drinking a lot. The plan is for multiple meals (for 100+ people), and I would like to smoke some brats, sausages, and maybe some 1/4 pound dogs on Thursday. Roaster with beer for the brats and water for the dogs work? Any help would be...

Bacon wrapped string cheese: a success! Q-View

Season ticket holder. QB play was not good last year, can't imagine it can be worse. Yeah my brother in law saw something on Pinterest and bought all the stuff. I said why not. Also did bacon wrapped boneless thighs last night. Always good.

Needs some help: bacon wrapped string cheese, anyone ever do this?

Sorry, I have a Traeger Texas Elite pellet smoker. I'm freezing the cheese right now. Was thinking 250-275. Might smoke the bacon at 225 for 15-30 minutes, watching it so that it starts cooking through. Then I will pull the bacon, wrap it over the bacon, then put it back on. Hopefully it works!

Unfortunately I do not have a cold smoker, but that is a good idea.

Needs some help: bacon wrapped string cheese, anyone ever do this?

Yesterday saw bacon wrapped string cheese that was deep fried. Forget that, real men smoke food right. So my question to the board, has anyone done this before and how did you do it? Right now I just put the cheese in the freezer. Thanks to all in advance!

Smoke my first pork butt, what a disaster!!!!, Please help

I started off with a Brinkman as well. Miss that thing! The temps are very hard to control on it, so I moded mine out by replacing the charcoal bin with an electric attachment and by placing a welders blanket over it during my smokes. With my Brinkman, I would do 15-18 hours for a butt...

Smoke my first pork butt, what a disaster!!!!, Please help

The first butt I did on my Treager I followed their suggestions for a 9 hour cook time. It was cooked, but was not the pull I had hoped for. Had to do a chopped pork instead. After that I started doing my own thing and smoking my butts for 12-15 hours. With the fat in the pork, you really do not...

Orange Soda pulled pork with a Q-view

Sorry about that everyone. Things got crazy trying to get to the soccer match and I got a little behind. The result? Probably the most tender and moist butt I have ever smoked. The bark and ring had a great sweet (orange soda) and spicy (rub) flavor, but the sweetness didn't penetrate all the...
