Sorry Wally. I was eating. Lol. I have nine on my Lil Tex right now. It is a test on the 225 at 1 1/2 hours to see how they turn out. From what I have read that is the perfect time and temp. So I will know more later...
No, I tell you what. Right out of the fridge and on the grate turned out really good. Not overly smoked, but for sure a great smoked flavor. Give it a try and 225 degrees for 1 1/2 hours and see what you think. The smoke will definitely penetrate the shell.
They are awesome. But I do believe 225 for 1 1/2 hour will be enough time and the perfect temperature. I have nine on now, so am anxious to see how they turn out.
Ok, I couldn't stand it any longer. I have read up on some that have taken eggs right out of their fridge and put on their Traeger at 275 degrees for two hours. I got about 15 minutes to go and they will be out there the 2 hours. Hoping for the best... Love my 2012 Lil Tex.
