16 ohms is about right for an 800 watt heater. This means your pulling about 7 amps. This should not trip a household breaker. Yep................I had the same problem with a 5 year old MBS. You need a spade connector. Measure the size of the spade this connector fits on (probably about 1/4" wide x 1/2" long) spade welded to the heating element.
