    Results are in.... Our first cook off went great. The judges didn't care much for my chicken (17th place), but they liked my ribs (1st). Pulled pork came out a little tougher then i would like. What is the normal internal temp you want to cook a Boston butt to??

    Tom you are correct the door is a little closer to my head then i would like, but any higher and i would not be able to reach the wooden handle to close it. When i first built the mounts for the shocks i was expecting to use 36" shocks so when i got the 31" shocks i came up a little bit short...

    thank you. I think sticking with charcoal is the way to go. To start out the smoker i'll dump in a full chimney of prelit just to get my temps up, but after that i only need to add about 10 pieces of charcoal every 2 hrs to maintain temp.
