I bought an orange one this week. It was pretty hard to convince my wife that a thermometer was worth $90. Anyway, these are supposed to be the best on the market, and if it makes ensuring doneness easier on every piece of meat, then it is well worth the money.

I love my BSKD, although I don't use it as much as I use the little old Lang. This is a great smoker, though you have to do the charcoal basket and baffle mods to get a good burn. These mods will add an hour to your assembly time, but it is really worth it! Here are a couple of pics...

You need to raise the firegrate up off the floor, and install a baffle between the firebox and the smokebox. PM me with your e-mail, and I'll give you the specifics. I have the BSKD, which is the mirror image of your smoker. I love cooking on it when I can.
