    (Don't) know my smoker!

Thanks Craig and Al, The reason I started the question was the fact that I did not have great experience with the WSM since owning it for about 3 months. It was between ok and good, but not great as everyone has raved about. I could not "dial in" the temp as I wished, after many trials and...

    (Don't) know my smoker!

To be good at this smoking craft, you've got to know your smoker! That advice was repeated often on this forum, and I've got to admit, I don't know "what to know" about my WSM and MES. In other words, as a newb, I don't know what I don't know. Please educate me, and a whole bunch of other new...

    Great Customer Service

Count me as one more impressed customer! I bought a 40" unit from Sam's 3 weeks ago, smoked 3 times with successes prior to Super Bowl party. So yesterday with about 25 guests and prime rib and ribs on the menu, I started the MES at 8am and after 3 hours, the MES could not get above 200F. I...

    Another new guy

Good morning to all! I came here from a google question on a New Braunfels, and could not leave. There is so much here, and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Hope to hang around here for a long time. Huan PS: I've got a WSM 18, Weber Performer, a stand-alone 22.5, and an old gas grill.

How much would you offer for this New Braunfels ?

I found this on CL, the seller wanted $225 for it. When I offered $100, he dropped the asking price to $200. What would be a reasonable good price for this New Braunfels smoker as shown in this picture. What is the model, anyway? Thanks in advance.
