I MADE ALL YOUR MODS. TO MY BRINKMAN EXCEPT THE ADD'L LEGS AND THEY WORKED GREAT!! I ALSO ADDED 3 SCREWS ABOUT 5" FROM THE TOP AND USED THOSE TO RAISE THE BOTTOM GRATE SO I COULD SMOKE A BRISKET AND PORK SHOULDER AT THE SAME TIME. IT WORKED VERY WELL. NEXT TIME I WILL ADD NUTS TO THE ENDS OF THESE SCREWS SO THE GRATE DOESN'T FALL OFF SO EASILY. BY THE WAY, THE PORK AND BRISKET WERE FANTASTIC. THE BEST SO FAR.
