    Had a little get together at the house for the birthday. Did a Butt, ribs, and wings in the Masterbuilt. Everything turned out great, specially the ribs,but I have a question. My ribs cooked and wings cooked in appropriate time but I can never get a butt to cook without doing it the night before...

    It was a rainy day in Carolina for most of the day. Figured it was a good time to do my first turkey breast today. I used a frozen one I had in the freezer so I didn't brine it. Stuffed it with an onion, a few cloves of garlic, and an apple. Threw a few pats of butter in between the skin...

    Did split breasts for the first time. Did a simple brine (salt, water, bay leaves, onion, and garlic) and set them soak for 4 hours. Two of them are deboned and tied back because the Mrs. isn't a fan of bone on meat and this is our compromise. Threw a rub on them. They cooked for 3.5 hours...

    I meant to take a picture of it cut up but forgot. Next time I'm going pull it closer to 165. It wasn't dry at all. Pretty moist but had I pulled it when I meant to I'm betting it would have been more so. No complaints though.

    Did my first whole bird on my Masterbuilt electric 30. Used hickory . Didn't have enough time to brine it but next time I will. Took out the back bone and tied her back up and let her smoke until 180. Made my own rub. Looking to do another one soon.
