I am making the wife a rib roast for tonight. We are not wine drinkers, but the wife was given a bottle of red wine by someone on her route this Christmas. I'm going to serve it with the roast tonight (if I can get it open without a corkscrew). My question is, should it be chilled or room temperature?

Thank you.

Give us a pic, most reds are served at room temp,at least ones worth drinking! Good luck trying to open it,maybe see if a neighbor has a wine key.

Ya know I can't believe I am telling on myself but..... I have used an ice pick thru the cork then pushed it back in the bottle. It keeps floating into the bottle neck while pouring but you can work it out. I won't bore you with the story but it involved a pretty girl, a "fishing trip", a fishing boat, the tide going out and a sandbar over night. Glad she was in college and Daddy didn't know, you get married over that kinda stuff around here.
