  1. Im in a huge debate on either the weber 18 1/2" or the 22 1/2" and im undecided which to order on amazon.  I see pros and cons but i think i can still smoke my butts on the two racks in the 18 1/2".  PLEASE HELP, lol...  I will order tonight one for my big BBQ party next weekend.  Im unsure in using the 18 1/2" for spare ribs but i havent done ribs yet or brisket which i plan to soon.

  2. Well, you're certainly cutting it close. If $ is not in the equation, my bullet would

be aimed at the 22 1/2. More grilling/smoking real estate. Smokin' Al would have great input

I'm sure, as well as a few others here. Good luck on the weekend smoke. Take

    pics and post...James

  4. well one reason why i might go with the 18.5" is i want to also get the MGS and use A-Maze-N's tray and pellet system on my bacon and spare ribs

  5. I LOVE THIS FORUM, lol   I have this Brinkman and this is what ive been using, while searching at smokers i ran across this thread!!  I think im going with the 18 1/2" and follow this kit with a buddy of mine to use just for ribs.

I think i will try the Amazen in the smoke chamber with some pellets and post how it does.

Most who have them say to go with the 22.5.

You have to decide.  How many in your family? What things do you like to smoke?  What things might you like to smoke in the future?  How much do you entertain, meaning how often do you do large smokes?  Is budget an issue?

Some of these variables you have to work out on your own.

    Good luck and good smoking.

I went with the 22.5" because of how I smoke. I fill the WSM generally on the weekends and save what I smoke for dinners later in the week, but if you are only smoking 1 or 2 things at a time then the 18.5" might be better.

Man seriously the motto that if you can afford it go bigger on a smoker rings out perfect in my head. It's true you hardly ever hear people say I wish I got the smaller one, it has been said, rarely. I think that more comes with the guys who order a Lang 108 and a year or so down the road figure they can be just fine with a Lang 60 (Lang's just used as an example)

Heck I started lusting over the Lang 36 and now I'm looking at ordering a custom Lang 48 lol.

22.5 gets my vote! IF you can afford it.

    22.5. No question. There's a place here that sells them for $299. $249 for the 18.5. For $50, it's a no brainer.

  11. where they at for 299!! I wonder how much shipping is
